[Loch-ruadh] Yule Revel

Greeting to all,

Sometime back, Polydore suggested we do a table decoration for the Tor Yule
Revel.  I have an idea and a suggestion for you all to consider.  I
took  what I know Dana and I to have and thought we could build on
that.  Dana has a red tablecloth that has covered one whole row of tables
at their previous revels.  On this I thought we might use 5 great big bowls
( which I have ) for holding green, biscuit size, floating
candles.  Interspersed among these we could use bundles of cinnamon sticks
tied with green ribbon and a massive number of clear glass votive candle
holders with white candles in them.  The cinnamon sticks are on sale now at
Michaels for 2.99 a bundle of eight.  The clear glass holders are only .50
to 1.00 at most places if we don't have enough among us.  If everyone could
bring a minimum of 1 or 2 of these with candles, for each one of their
group, I will see if I can get a bunch of votive candles donated so we will
have enough to burn the entire time.  I can supply the ribbon and the
cinnamon sticks unless someone wanted to help with the cost.

I thought this would give a fairly uniform look to our table and would be
easy to transport, not to expensive and simple to assemble.  The colors of
red, green and white with the reddish brown cinnamon sticks seemed good to me.

If I haven't bored you to death and you have any opinions, please let me
hear them.
