[Loch-Ruadh] OT Estrella War and Arizona imports

Sean, you know what I like to do when I drive in Michigan and Minnesota?

I like to go up there and stop in the middle of the F****** road and stare
at stuff. Then I like to wave at them when they flip me off.

You'd think since they come to Arizona every year that they would know what
a freaking cactus looks like or that our middle lane is a turning lane NOT a
median to sit on to get back into traffic. Lets not mention how long it
takes you to grocery shop or anything else mundane.

I had a guy say to me I should be happy because he is stimulating the
economy by coming to visit. I don't own a retail shop, I don't work in the
service industry and my husband is in the defense industry so how the
snowbirds affect my personal economy well I just cannot figure that one out.

They also crowd the ERs, and keep the doctors overly booked up in the
winter.

I shouldn't be so spiteful though, because my own aging is inevitable! I do
know this much I will not be going south like everyone else.

And the mall you speak of, that is just north of where I lived. We lived on
Power and Guadalupe Roads. There is now a 6A highschool there. Neat name
Highland High! I liked that.

Williams AFB is now a commercial base and they are expanding it. It is
quite hilarious to see huge jets flying over brand new houses. Queen Creek
has exploded in population. There is now a master planned community there
sort of like Dobson Ranch. It is wall to wall houses straight up power road
from Williams base from the Red mountain in Mesa. It is also wall to wall
houses from about Signal Butte all the way west out past Cooper Road etc.

It is huge out there. As for low income housing, neighborhoods turn so fast
in Phoenix area. Unless you pay a high amount for your house, you have no
guarantee how it will go. You can have a home the same size as your home,
the kids go to same school. The other house can be just across the street
and be valued 50k more. Its silly.

Oh yes the hospital you mentioned. Desert Samaritan's maternity ward there
sees about 600 babies being born a month!

I am sure people here in Weatherford resent me just as much as I resented
the winter visitors. I bet lightning is going to strike me now for being
this negative!

Suzanne
