Everyone should be used to me posting asking for assistance with
projects and patients with my work. This time this isn’t exactly a work
related request but something similar.

I am a Team Captain for “Relay for Life”. If you don’t know what this is
the Relay for Life is a yearly event that raises monies for the American
Cancer Society. This is their biggest fund raiser of the year.

Each of us at some point has come in contact with cancer. Many of our
friends and family in the SCA have been dealt the blow of dealing with
cancer; some have survived while others have passed on.

The Relay for Life has several ways to make donations:

1.	Purchase a Luminary for $10 in “Memory of ___” or in “Honor of
_______” someone. (these look awesome. They are placed together and
light up the stands near the track. It’s a sight that is beyond words.)

2.	Purchase a “Cancer fact” sign for $100. This sign will be placed
on/around the relay track with your company name/logo OR if you are an
individual (or group of people) you can get a “cancer fact” sign made
“In Honor Of _____” or “In Memory Of ________”

3.	Or just make a donation in what every way you can. Every little
bit helps.

Remember, all donations to the American Cancer Society are tax
deductible.

I will have with me at populace (and whatever else I can make) the forms
for donations.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

My team not only can use the help in raising funds for the ACS but could
also use some support during the relay too! If no one is busy on May
30th come cheer us on! The relay is from 7pm till 7am (do I hear a
bardic maybe?) and it gets awfully lonely and tiring in those wee hours!
:-)

Thanks to everyone who can help in whatever way they can!

Magdalea
(whos going to go hug Conall… Renal Cell Carcinoma didn’t take him away
from us; just left him with a cool looking scar.)
