Yes, good folk, it's that time again - time to consider recommending your
friends and neighbors of the Shire of Loch Ruadh for Awards to be
presented at Lughnasad.

Who is eligible for an Award? Anyone you have observed or are aware of
doing something that should be recognized.

Who can make a recommendation? Anyone at all - you just have to be
willing to take the time and effort to do so.

More details can be found in my article on Award Recommendations, which
can be found at http://www.lochruadh.org/AwardRecGuideline.doc. This
document includes brief descriptions of most Awards given in Ansteorra,
guidance on where to find out if someone has a particular Award already,
and example Award Recommendation letters.

Awards need to be submitted as soon as possible, as Their Royal Majesties
need time to review them and to have Scrolls prepared for those Awards
they decide to bestow. At a minimum, recommendations must be TRMs no
later than 28 July, which is two weeks before Lughnasad. But please don't
wait until the last minute to get your recommendations in.

If you have questions or need assistance in getting recommendations
written, any Shire Officer or any of the veteran members of the group
(which sounds so much better than "old-timers") will be more than happy to
help out.

In Service,
Padraig
Acting Chronicler, Loch Ruadh
