[Loch-soilleir] And here come the questions... :-)

Greetings,

There is a "gate" sign in, on site, where you'll pay for site & feast, and sign the needed waivers. FYI, if you're a member of the SCA, you should have already signed a waiver, and you just need to show your card (or a Black Star or a print out of the completed on-line processing https://secure.sca.org/membership/ ). If you're not, there'll be an additional 'non-member surcharge' of $3 added to your site fee (this is to encourage you to become a member and to cover the costs of processing the waivers, etc).

As for Ty's shoes - whatever is most comfortable for him (including athletic shoes). If you want to go to extra effort, something neutral (black, brown, possibly natural materials). Or you can make some period turn shoes - it's really not that hard... I'd say the majority of parents just put their kids in their regular shoes (blinking red lights, and all) or buy some "Hush Puppy" type shoes.

I'll just apologize now, because I'm sure this won't be the last of the
questions between now and Loch Guardian...

Right now I'm wondering, is there someplace I need to sign Ty and I up to be
there? I signed us up on the feast list the other night at Populace, but
what about for actual camping space? Who and when do I pay? Are sites
shared? Can I reserve a single site if I want to, directly with the park and
still be near the rest of the bunch? I'm sorry for so many questions, but I
looked on the website and couldn't find any specifics at all...

Also, what kind of shoes do kids usually wear? I know that athletic shoes
stand out too much, but I'm not sure what else to put him in that will be
safe and allow him to run around like normal. Would love to hear what the
rest of you do!

Thanks, and sorry again! :-)

~Juliana~
