[Loch-soilleir] Tourney by the Loch

Unto His Serpentine Excellency and the Populace do I send my greetings!
 
Your Excellency, this is troubling news indeed.  Perhaps with gentle tongue You might inquire of Their Excellencies of The Steppes regarding the feasibility of not including rapier activity in the events surrounding Their Fall Court?  This would once more shift the focus of the rapier community to Your tournament.  How serious an impact does Your Excellency believe this would have on the attendance of Tourney by the Loch by non-combatants?  Perhaps there are others reading this that may have words to share as well regarding this issue.  The Populace meeting is scheduled for this next Tuesday.  I pray you, let no action other than information gathering and discussion take place until the situation can be discussed in that meeting.  I remain your humble servant,

Unto the Populace of Loch Soilleir, I send My

I come before you with a heavy heart this day.

It has come to my attention that the Barony of the
Steppes has announced an event, although off
calendar, that directly competes with Tourney by the
Loch.  It was Our hope that by scheduling Tourney at
this date so far in advance, that we would not have
major competition for attendance.  My concern is not
that it will significantly draw the people from the
Steppes/Elfsea area north away from our event, but
that it may be a significant draw from the people of
Emerald Keep south.

So My kind and gentle Populace, do you still wish to
hold Tourney by the Loch with this new issue.
