Stanislaw -
Oh my word! I had completely forgotten Luigi! When you speak to Rainair,
please give him our best.
Doc always makes us smile. He still tells stories, and we have to keep an
eye on him as we are sometimes his subjects! Maybe I should dig out some of
his poetry to share with these johnny-come-lately folks who have only been
playing 15 years. I believe that Galen & I are all that remain of the old
guard, and we are not really active any more. Too many friends to just walk
away, but our children are involved in activities that keep us away.

We do try to make it to the Yule Revel every year, and if you are remotely
close you should come too! There are some delightful new traditions, such
as the boar hunt, and there is still the feeling of family & learning that
binds the Loch together. It's funny the way things come full circle: our
fighter practice, which we fought so hard to separate, is now a joint
practice with Stargate.

Please let me know if you're going to make an appearance at a Loch function,
and Galen & I will come out to see you. I bet we could even get Karalus to
come!
Rebekah

and much has undoubtedly happened in the interim.? It is good to see the
names of old colleagues again, as without them (and as well, the actions of
Lord Rainair, the Lady Etta, and Don Luigino di Donate), the Loch would not
exist today.? Thanks for sharing a memory with me!

> BTW, I found myself compelled to post my earlier message when upon reading
some of the older postings to the Loch archives, I found record of an online
debate about whether "Soilleir" was gaelic or french in origin.? I don't
know which was worse -- the original posting, or a followup that suggested
someone ask the "founding" baron which it was -- and he not even born into
the Society when we all formed the original shire.? I sighed, thinking to
myself, how soon they all forget...? ;-)

> Also, I still correspond with Karamis (aka Karolus, for shame on those
heralds of old!), Don Luigino, and Rainair, albeit only in mundane matters.?
I was most curious to know if anyone of the old group still actively played
in the Loch.? It is good to know that some remain!
