That's a different park, the park he is referring to is close by to me. It has poor lighting at night in the areas appropriate for fighting and has set hours of operations.

It is my understanding that that park in League City was looked into as a
place for practice before and we were told that we could not use it for that
purpose.  However, that was a couple of months ago and we were looking at a lot
of places for practice.  I may have my parks mixed up.

I believe that this park was chosen so that we can continue to include the
folks from Stargate.  The fighters from Loch have been coming up to Stargate
for a number of years, I think it is time for Stargate fighters to come down
to the Loch.  Much further south and it will too far to come for a weeknight
practice.
