[Loch-soilleir] November Populace Minutes

Minutes from the meeting held 11/5/2019 are below. Please excuse any typos.

*Come to Order* at 7:32pm



*Nobility’s Words* - Welcome from Her Excellency Hennessey



*Officer Reports*

-          Exchequer (Lady Kite) - Not present. Written report that money
is good and we gained money from the event.

-          Herald (OPEN FOR APPS)

-          Chronicler (Lady Anne) - Not present. Submissions are due by the
20th with goal to publish by 1st.

-          Hospitaler (Master Brian) - Ichigo-Con at Pasadena library went
well. The attendees enjoyed being able to try out weaving on Bia’s loom and
several made bookmarks. We have already received additional requests from
the library to participate in their summer teen program.

-          Webminister (HL Elena) - Looking for deputy to possibly take
over soon. Also looking for any suggested updates/changes.

-          MoAS (Mistress Delphina) - Deputy Dmitri present.

-          Armoring/Smithing Guild (Baron Master Krag) - Currently paused
until the busy event season is over. Watch for last minute notices if time
is available. Hoping to meet in December.

-          Fiber Arts Guild (Baroness Hennessey) - Meets in conjunction
with Armoring/Smithing.

-          Lampwork Guild (Duchess Ebergardis) - Met 2 weeks ago. Planning
for Nov 19.

-          Lace Guild (Mistress Delphina) - Next meeting Nov 9, from 1-4,
Fairmont Library in Pasadena. All A&S is welcome.

-          Thursday Guild – Currently on hiatus.

-          Stargate has scribal on the 1st & 3rd Sundays from 3-6p at
Central Market. There is interest in starting up Loch scribal again.

-          Marshallate

-          Armored - Don Crowley (not present) is acting marshal Tuesdays
at Walter Hall Park in League City. 10/29 practice was rained out.

-          Rapier (OPEN FOR APPS) - Tuesdays at Walter Hall Park in League
City. Look for the better lighted area. Thanks to Diego for his service as
Rapier Marshal.

-          Missile (OPEN FOR APPS) - Roland is working toward his
marshallate, so that he can apply for the position. Next practice will
probably be in January.

-          Seneschal (Lady Karen)

-          Officers: Get reports in by the 6th of the month.

-          No Populace meeting in December.



 *Old Business*

-          Serpent’s Symposium III was held October 4-6.

-          Ichigo-Con Demo held Nov 2 at the Pasadena Library.

-          Awarded January Crown, to be held at the Livingston site and
autocratted by Master Brian. More discussion below..



*New Business*

-          Several upcoming events that will need volunteers!



*Upcoming Baronial Events*

-          Loch Yule - Theme is A Die Hard Yule. Time is 11am-6pm, with
Potluck around 4:00. Ebi is running Potluck and the Japanese-inspired
Dessert Competition. Crowley and Dietrich are co-autocrats. Remember to
bring your stocking and goodies!

-          January Crown - Event registration is $12. There will be a
tavern lunch for purchase. Nicollette is in charge of decorations - need
assistants. Crowley is MIC. Need youth marshals and class teachers. Henessy
is Paypal coordinator. Ebi is Royal Liaison and sanitation. Mahearra is
Water Bearing.

-          Coastal Grand Baronial - May 1-3, hopefully at Livingston site
(waiting on confirmation). We are the lead group this year. Still need an
autocrat.



*Event Calendar*

-   Nov 8-10 - Fall Queen’s Champion (Shadowlands), Rockdale, TX

-  Nov 21-24 - War of the Rams, Colmesneil, TX - A Facebook group has been
setup for Loch. Friday night will be Potluck. A food group is being set up
for Saturday breakfast and lunch and Sunday breakfast. To participate bring
an ingredient or help in kitchen. Ettienne will be holding his vigil in
camp from 10-3 on Saturday.

-   Dec 7 - Stargate Yule and Middle Eastern Dance Competition

-   Dec 15 - Loch Yule

-   Jan 10-12 - Crown Tournament

-   Jan 18 - Roundtable

-   Feb 8 - Kingdom A&S



*Nobility’s Closing Words* - Their Excellencies Krag & Hennessey



Following the closing words, Emily Egan came forward to inform the group of
the death of her husband, Master Aodhan Ite an Fhithich. He was a founding
member and the first Seneschal of the Loch. Services are to be planned at a
later date, most likely sometime in January.
