[Namron] New Armour Regs

The following information has also been sent into the Plume as offical notification -- just thought I would pass it along this way also.

Due to the heat, Namron's Fighter Practice has been moved to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

To stay in compliance with current SCA regulations, those who wish to fight are required to bring their SCA membership cards (typically blue) and their fighting authorization cards to practice.  If you do not have an SCA membership card you will be required to fill out a waiver at each practice.

NEW ARMOUR REGULATIONS

Half-Guantlets

If using a basket-hilted weapon, a half-guantlet will now be
required, using a minimum of heavy leather or equivalent.  The cuff should meet or over lap the edge of the vambrace when the hand is in normal position.  There should be no gapping in between.  Compliance is expected by November Crown Tournament.

Thrusting Tips

All thrusting tips will be red.  There will be no more contrasting colors.  The edges of a sword may still be taped in red.
