As a veteran of Desert Shield/Storm,i'd like to say thanks to all of you
for this effort.I can't put into words how much it meant to us then to get a
package from home, even from someone we didnt know. Many times i had tears in
my eyes(and i'll never admit that again) because someone i didn't even know
sent me something i needed.and i must add i saw many eyes that werent quite
so dry at mail call.we were thousands of miles from home, with an uncertain
future to face, and it meant so much to us that the people back home cared
enough for us lowly soldiers to send us these things.
I ask you to remember that without us,you'd have no one to fight for
your lifestyle,AND without YOU,we'd have had no reason to fight. You are
special to us/them as well.sp please make some lonely homesick's soldier's
day and enlose a note letting them know how much we appreciate the
sacrifices they and their loved ones are making for us.even if you DON'T
support the wars and/or actions, never let them think you don't support
them.they are after all doing what they have been ordered to do,,,,,,,,,for
us.
                        Sincerely,
                              An ex-soldier
