Actually, it was from a post to a system administrators list, but the
list has lots of SCAdians (and ham radio operators, too) on it.
I have seen period mail with patterns woven in, using brass links for
contrast against the steel. Quite pretty, but definitely parade armor
IMHO, and not something I'd be comfortable using for-real.
