Suggestion: Have TWO lists. One that's given to the populace with parental
units / guardians having approved inclusion or exclusion, and one that's
given only to MoCs at events that is fully detailed and accurate, to go
along with the sign in sheet parents are supposed to fill out, and the
on-person id tags that little ones are supposed to have... I've been
personally appalled at how willing some parents are to use any activity at
an SCA event as a babysitting service, be it children's activities,
'helping' in the kitchen or waterbearing station, or, in a case i personally
witnessed, simply walked away from. ("This is Mommy's time! You just have to
wait right here!")

I often get into heated discussions with my husband about how things
'should' be and how things 'are'. I suggest striving for 'should' and being
practically prepared for what 'is'. All parents 'should' be contientious
and responsible for their children's welfare, ever vigilant of Evil, by
following the reasonable protocols that the SCA has created (sign ins, times
and places, identification, etc.) Unfortunately, that isn't always the way
things 'are'. (Please note, I am **not** painting all parents with that
brush. most are amazing, wonderful people. Some.. aren't.)

Your mileage may vary, offer void in California, contents under pressure,
not suitable for use by blondes, etc... All standard disclaimers apply.
