I would Tie tadpole to a tree but at a very young age he learned how to untie complex knots. We then went to a lattice work play pen (which he destroyed in 1 day then to a playpen constructed of 2x4's and 1x2's lol he still has that one... its worse for the wear but he still has it lol. He now uses it for a fort lol. He is always wanting Daddy to put one of his rugs used in camping over the top of it for his fort lol.  The wooden playpen things looks reasonable well and is lightweight. As for the naptime/stroller just drape cloth/rugs/pennants around it, no one will hold it against a mom... you have a hard enough of a job (and none of us guys understand what all you put up with).
