Due to a) the Norman High School being unavailable for
use due to 
construction and b) the use of another Norman Public
School facility 
costing $20/hour to use during the summer, the
Populace meeting for June 
7, 2006 will be held at Reeves Park.



Now, at THAT meeting is was stated that the meetings
would be held at the park until either Norman High's
repair work was done OR until one of the other schools
in Norman would allow us the use of their facilities. 

The problem is trying to find a place to meet that
doesn't charge for us to meet there.  The organization
is an educational, recreational, not for profit group.
 So It's hard to justify paying a bunch of money for a
meeting place.  Therefore everyone's trying to find a
solution that will work best for the most folks it
can.  Things will never be perfect or suit everyone's
preferance, but members ARE trying to do the best they
can with what they've got.

Now, if you post to the list, and get responses back
in your e-mail, you can scroll down to the bottom of
the e-mail to find a link that looks like this:

Most e-mail programs will allow you to click on that
as if it were an active link.  If yours won't do that,
then copy and paste it into your Address navigation
window at the top of your screen.  When you get to
that page Click on the words "NAMRON ARCHIVES" and
then search by date, author, topic, or thread to find
the information you need.  That might help with some
of the confusion and might help you find an answer
quicker...because it might be that the topic has
already come up...and since it has it might also be
assumed by folks that answers have already been given,
and so your question might be overlooked.

As I tell my kids, if you want to find something, look
for it...if you find it yourself you'll remember where
to look next time.

AND...as to Junk Mail....a lot of what is posted on
this list is social as well as informative, and, being
a girl, I feel the social interaction is just as
important as the conveyance of information, natch.

AND...as far as saying bad things about people and
tossing around words like "child abuse", remember
these are things that are a lot more serious than
saying something along the lines of, like "so and so
frustrates me and I think they're an old poop!".  

Venting frustration can be done in a way without
totally alianating oneself from the herd...I mean, if
you don't want to BE part of the herd, why bother
hanging around the herd.   Am I making any sense?

So, as granny always said, pretty is as pretty
does...which, roughly translated means that the vibes
you put out are the vibes you're going to get.  Good
follows good and cranky just follows cranky.  That's
just the way ye ole cookie crumbles.
