[Namron] Is my spang anorexic?

I think that over the years the pattern has grown a little, I have been  
making one and it does seem a lot bigger than I remember. Also I think the  
original instructions called for 3/4 of a cup of rice. If your spang is designed  
for competition that will be enough since the rice will swell when it gets wet,  
if your spang is for display you might want to add a little more to get that  
well rounded look - Gwyneth
