Well, that was close.? Lady Maura gave you the cloven turnip.? We presented you with a pair of turnips with pull rings in them at Protectorate during Feast.? Pookie led us in as one of the monks with a board chanting (think Monty Python) and someone read a "filked" version of the instructions for the hand grenade.? If I remember correctly, they got passed around Head Table like a couple of hot potatoes.

At our investiture, or was it the next event after, I was presented with
a Cloved Turnip by Gaelen and Brenna.  As the majority of people on site
that I knew enjoyed raw turnip were not only male, but hairy, I decided
not to circulate the cloved turnip in the traditional fashion.

But pulling one of the cloves out, I was immediately struck with the
thought of the horror on the face of the average lady upon seeing a
hairy Viking approaching her with one of these, and the simile of
pulling the pin on the Holy Hand Grenade came to mind.
