[Namron] March 2011 Officer Meeting Notes

My personal opinion is that, while I am definitely in favor of having more activities/classes combined with populace meeting, I do not wish it to stop being a primarily business meeting. We have already gone from two pop meetings a month to one. Since general populace members are discouraged from speaking during officer's meeting, although they may attend, we already have little input into what goes on. If officer's meeting stops being every month, how are decisions going to be made on things that come up unexpectedly?

There are some of us who already feel that our input is not desired, and are being "disenfranchised" because we can't / don't attend the rapier practice/scribes meeting and / or heavy practices, and changing the populace meeting focus from being a business meeting to being an A&S meeting will NOT help that feeling.

I better stop now,

Annabelle

Subject: [Namron] March 2011 Officer Meeting Notes

Greetings,

Here are the notes from this month's officers meeting:

<snip>
Knights Marshal: I would like to see if we can possible have the monthly officers meeting changed to every 3 months.

Seneschal: we discussed options and I will check with Kingdom to make sure what the requirements are and will follow-up at the next meeting. We also discussed having the Populace meeting with less business focus. We will start having a different person each month running a class. Adena has volunteered to have a dance class at the May Populace meeting. Alicia has volunteered to have a simple side less surcoat construction class at the June Populace meeting. Baronessa Caterina will also follow up with the Storms and have their input also.
