I am posting this at the request of Namron's new Titled Bard.

Bard's Prayer

Tune: May the Circle Be Unbroken (traditional)

Words: Allon McBaine MKA James Rushin

Chorus: May My Horn Be Ne'er Empty.

May I sit at Odin's Side.

May my voice be raised in Glory,

In that great hall in the sky.

I was standing on the list field,

At my chieftan's side.

With my voice raised, singin praises,

For those warriors that will die.

Chorus:

Warriors tell me there's no place for,

A Bard in Odin's hall.

With their tales of death in battle,

I will stand and toast them all.

Chorus:

I was singin' loud and somber,

When an arrow pierced my side.

That note fell sharp and darkened.

My death led their charging cries.

Chorus:

I can hear the Valkyries riding,

Feel Her light shine on my brow.

With your winged steed gilded golden,

I pray thee take me now.

Chorus:

Now I sit at Odin's table,

With my brother's at my side.

And my horn stays overflowing,

While my tales roam Knowne-World wide!

Chorus:

Chorus(this time with feeling):
