Since I don't think we're leaving for Winterkingdom until Saturday morning, this sounds good to me. I'll check to see if Aonghas wants to go.

Dr. Crowther is pretty cool, so I think I'm going to go to this. She's done some interesting research on the subtext in medieval images that us moderns don't get, and she's friendly and easy to interrupt with questions. :) Anybody wanna join me? I'm up for just listening or even a spot of freaking the mundanes.

Just an FYI - please share where you can.
Because of the flooring project happening at the library, the January Medieval Fair lecture has been moved from the Norman Public Library to the CCE Forum.

This lecture would be a great way to enhance your persona and figure out what you would have thought or known about the heavens and our planet!
Lecture 2, Friday January 24, 2014
"Celestial Spheres and Torrid Zones: Medieval and Renaissance Views of the Cosmos"
CCE Thurman J. White Forum
1704 Asp Ave., Suite B-4/6 - Free parking in the CCE Forum parking lot
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Kathleen Crowther, Associate Professor, History of Science Dept., OU
This talk will explore what medieval and Renaissance people thought about the heavens and the earth, including where the earth was, how big the earth was, what caused the seasons, how the stars and planets moved, how much of the earth was covered with water, and what parts of the earth could support human habitation.
