June Pop Meeting June 10th, 2021

Namron had in attendance 22 adults and 5 children

Word Fame:

v  Raulff is the Royal Hustsnam, Congrats to him!

v  Ellyn thanks Ophelia for teaching her Kumihemo

Show and Tell:

v  OLIVER IS HERE

Seneschal:

v  Upcoming events will have regulations – Please remember these when you
are planning to go to activities and events.

v  We have a Protectorate Autocrat - Frú Sigriđr

v  I am looking for a new deputy seneschal – please let me know if you are
interested

Treasurer:

v  I am stepping down in January, so if you are interested in becoming the
Treasurer let me know. Also round table in July ay be in interest.

v  We have $9494.89 in the bank, and spent $277.65 on Beltain, mostly on
shipping.

Arts and Sciences:

v  The barony is growing. Thanks to those who attended the Monday night
zoom A and S meeting, we plan to do this more often.

v  Looking for more class ideas or/and teachers

v  Thinking about a garb exchange/try on, where people can try on other
periods of garb to see how they like them.

v  The office will be opening in January 2022, so if you are interested,
please let me know.

Knights Marshal:

v  WE HAVE PRACTICE!

v  We will keep an eye on the heat and the heat index, and have no problem
with canceling practice if its too hot.

v  Practice is at The Station in Moore, Wednesday from 630-830.

v  We have had foot traffic from mundane persons

v  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Minister of children:
v  Protectorate Ideas are coming along!

v  We need volunteers, and are hoping to do both younger AND older kids

v  Anna is the deputy, but we are always looking for more.

v  We are wanting to figure out how to get the kids more in to the service
side of the SCA as well

v  Contact us if you are interested in helping

Chronicler:

v  Missive, missive, missive

v  Looking for submissions of: games, stories, poems, songs, recipes or
anything you may want to see in a  newsletter.

v  Submissions are needed by the 26th of the month

v  If officers want updates pictures please send them to me

v  Officers, please check the information in the plume and update it as
needed



Youth Rapier(ish)

v  Im back from the grave… OOOooooooOOOooooo

v  After 3 years in office, I am ready to help someone else take over the
office.

v  I should be moving on to become the kingdom youth rapier marshal, WAHOO

Rapier:

v  Practice is Tuesday at 7pm at Early Wine park in OKC

v  Poor Baron is not feeling well, so Baroness is taking over.

v  Recognized those officers who have stepped down during the pandemic –

v  And those who have stepped up.

v  Congrats to Orlaith for receiving a Sable Talon, and Raulff as the Royal
Huntsman. (though he probably cheated)

v  Open offices include

·         Archery

v  TRM could use more Largess if you so feel inclined.

v  During the reopening process please be patient with us all, as things
are changing every day.

v  If you didn’t hear we are now in an incipient principality! WAHOO
Vindheim! We will have our first Coronet Tourney December 6th. Stay tuned
for details.

v  Protectorate will be the weekend of October 23 at Dakani in OKC. We will
have ALL the championships.

v  Gulf-Tober will be in October as well, and we will wait till the go/nogo
date to start discussing a group camp

v  Business meetings will still be online/zoom

v  July and August Pop meetings have a room reserved at the central norman
library, but we can always cancel if people feel more comfortable being
outside. Kyna and Andrew offer their yard again if needed.

o   All events currently require pre-registration to attend. Ig you have
any questions let us know.

·         Bonwicke Artisan (virtual) – June 26

·         Northkeep Castellan is June 26th

·         Crown Tournament and King’s Champion in Hamilton, TX – July 10,
letters of intent and seneschalate prereg (separate from attendance prereg)
for fighters due June 16

·         Summer Roundtable (virtual?) – July 17

·         Eldern’s A Day in the Park in Lawton – July 24 combat activities,
Bardic and Arts and Sciences championships, classes
