Hmmm maybe I missed part of this thread somewhere but I actually have an
opionion on something for a change :)
I myself feel that there is a definate need for at least a regional warlord.
The original and continued purpose for each of our regional representatives
as far as I know was to promote their activity in the region and get the
region prepared for war. A good regional champion does just that, by
setting up war practices, bardic circles, archery competitions and etc. I
think that we would do our region and injustice if we were to eliminate the
position. Other regions are begining to follow our example and are now
building a strong tradition with their warlords. The kingdom is making
moves toward depending on regional warlords to assist in the chain of
command.
I think that the region has the resources and folks to be able to pull off a
northern regional warlord event and make it a success. The first ones were
great. The warlords themselves helped with the promotion and we had good
turn outs and a good event. This years warlord event was not really
promoted very well at all.
I think we can and should do a better job for many reason. However I am
rambling now so if anyone would like to discuss anything I have said further
please email me and we will talk.
Thanks for your time
Ainar Magnusson
