NR - Northern Regional Tribute

Greetings all, Artorius here...

I've just finished reading this entire thread and would like to add a
couple of points...

1) When Eldern hosted and I autocratted NRT last year, I asked most of the
Northern Regional Officers to coordinate various activities related to
their specific Office.  The cooperation I received was amazing to say the
least.  Eldern folks worked as hard as we always do for events, doing privy
patrol, sitting gate, site set up and tear down, etc.  We all saw it as an
honor.  The money was maintained by our Baronial Reeve and run through our
bank account.  What expenses that were not donated were reimbursed by
Eldern.  All of the Northern Groups participated in some way or another and
it all ran smoothly.  As Coordinating Autocrat, I assembled what I referred
to as my "Dream Team" of competant, capable activities coordinators and
them gave them a great deal of latitude to run their particular activities.
 (Thanks again to all of you who worked your butts off last year!!)  As I
said in my earlier post, everyone I spoke with and heard from had a great
time, however as an Autocrat I realize that you can't please everyone...
(sigh...)

2)  This current situation seems to me to have stemmed from some problem
Namron is having with either the N.R.S. or the K.S., or both.  Why are *we*
all involved?  I don't know all the particulars regarding this situation.
Ya know why?  It's not my business!  If the problem stems from the N.R.S.
then it should be taken to the K.S.  If the problem stems from the K.S.
then it should be addressed to Their Majesties.  The Society Seneschal
could also be contacted... but only as a *last resort*!  All disputes
should be resolved at the lowest level possible.

It seems to me that the current problem is a local one, and not a Regional
one.  For what it's worth, there's my .02 worth...
