       I was not present at the conversation with HE Catrin and the Crown, I
was there with their Excellencies Namron and Wiesenfeuer when the Crown asked
that the four Baronies in the North work together to build an arch.  The idea
was that passing through the arch would be a symbol of leaving behind the
anger, hurt and recriminations of the past and moving on into a better
future.  It was left to us to determine what this arch would be and how it
would be built.  We are supposed to work together on this.  Her Majesty
specifically said that she wanted this ready for Northkeep's baronial
investiture where she wanted a March of Precedence through the arch.  This
project is to promote unity and healing.
       I find it very sad and disappointing that the first thing we do is to
start fighting over what sort of symbol of unity we want.  I've reread
Baroness Maleah's post 3 times now and for the life of me I can't find
anything that could reasonably be taken as an attack on HE Catrin or a slap
in the face of Northkeep.  Have things gone so far wrong that we cannot work
together on anything without it turning into a fight?  Is there any hope that
we can put the anger, bitterness and suspicion behind us and start to heal?
I believe that there is hope for us.  Please, show me that my faith is not
misplaced.    Let's work together on this without it turning into yet another
feud, with the same old cast of characters glaring across the fence at each
other.
       Fighting over what kind of symbol of unity we want!  That's really
screwed up folks.
