An a Phonology note, any word starting with an 'n' will be difficult to yell loudly. 'N' words start with a nasal sound (defined here)

"A nasal consonant is a consonant in which air escapes only through the nose. For this to happen, the soft palate is lowered to allow air to pass it, whilst a closure is made in the oral cavity to stop air escaping through the mouth.
You can feel if a sound is a nasal sound or not by placing your hand in front of your mouth and feeling if any air is escaping or not.
There are three nasal sounds in English. The /m/ in mat, the/n/ in nasal and the /ng/ in sing."

Unlike P words and B words (Bryn Gwylad) and K words (K) which are all plosives (which mean air literally explodes out of the mouth) N words are harder to start out loud...

I definatly echo all the voices that what is chosen unites, as opposed to
giving any more foot for devicivness to creep in. We have many different
perspectives and if we work together to come up with something to represent
all of us, it can be done and provide another opportunity to bring us
together. Also, this is a fighting issue as it was requested as a war yell
to rally the troops, but the area will become known by it and so should be
something that all can claim, even the non-fighters.

Of all the ideas suggested I prefer the ones that are just the name for
North in different languages. We represent many cultures and languages and
it would make sense that what is chosen should be easily usable by all, ie
a simple spelling that leaves nothing to guess in the pronounciation. From
those suggested thus far, just using the word Norden sounds wonderful, as
the sounds are simple and clear and start with hard consenonts and draw out
in a way that is easy to do while yelling and it can be done with the snarl
that was mentioned earlier.

My humble offering and imagining Kit will have found the word North in over
15 languages by nightfall,

Susan the Curious
