Well, considering how many people (myself included) have made the mistake of posting
to the wrong list, or publicly instead of privately in the past few days, I don't think you have
anything you need to really apologize for. You were trying to answer a question without
offending anyone. Nothing wrong with that.

What we have here isn't 'politics' really - except in the most twisted sense of the term.
What we have here is a number of people who are upset and frustrated at the current
situation (both the recent T&S thing, and the way the bickering here is making us look),
and that frustration is affecting what they send out and where they are sending it. I daresay
(and I am going to take a risk here in speaking for more than myself) that most of the
people who have posted in the past 36 hours are in relative agreement -- the anger and the
hurt emotions need to be moved elsewhere. In their frustration they (and I'm still including
myself here) are inadvertently adding fuel to the fire (I am hoping that this message,
not really being a negative rant as much as it is intended as a simple explanation, will
spark no public commentary).
