[Northkeep] Opinion on Wars

I have not been to Lillies, but I have been to both
Pennsic (XXIV) and to Gulf (the last 3 years).  I must
say that if I had to choose just one it would be a
decision I'd mull over for as long as possible.  From
what I have seen each war has it's own unique, but
very cool feeling.

 Gulf is awesome for me because it is actually
Ansteorra involved in the war. A huge part of the
kingdom is there and I get to see friends from other
parts of Ansteorra that I almost never get to see. The
shopping is good, and the party-ing is awesome.
Camping as part of the Barony is also a big plus for
me.

Pennsic is totally differet. Being from Ansteorra, you
aren't part of the "War" so much, your works- be they
fighting or whatever- are "donated" to whichever side
the Crown decides we are allied with. But the awesome
parts are really in just how many people and merchants
and STUFF there is there. I mean, you really start to
forget the real world after being onsite for 5 or so
days. There are more people on site at the war than
there are in many small towns! You can walk for
darn-near an entire day and not see the same thing
twice. There is just a feeling at Pennsic that I have
never felt anywhere else, it's hard to explain.

When you ask which one is BETTER, well.... they are
just so different! It will cost a lot more money to do
Pennsic, it is a lot farther away and even gate is
more than twice the price. My personal budget for
Pennsic would be twice as big as Gulf. That would be
the biggest deciding factor for me I think.
