Greetings Northkeep

I would just like to add a couple of things to Gisela's announcement.

For those new folks who may be wondering what Scribal Guild is, our main
activity is painting all those pretty award scrolls you see given out in
court when someone gets an award from the Crown. Each reign uses a
substantial amount of these and supplies always need to be refilled. The
winter months are a good time to stock up the Royal coffers before the busy
Tourney/Court season begins. OH, you say, I can't do that I can't paint!
Actually scroll painting is very beginner friendly. Since Ansteorra uses
pre-printed scrolls all you really need to do is fill in the spaces with
appropriate colors and the instructions are printed on each one. You just
need to be able to follow instructions and have an attention to detail.
Those of us who have been doing it for awhile will be happy to help you.

As Gisela said, attendance and interest has fallen off in the last few
months. We have had some discussion that perhaps it could spark new interest
and raise attendance if Scribal Guild moved to a more central location.
Though Gisela graciously took on the responsibility for the Guild's
activities her home is not really large enough to host a group. If anyone
more 'in town' than I would like to host Scribal Guild Gisela would love to
hear from you. All you need is a willingness to have folks over once a month
and a space for people to spread out their painting gear. Hosting a guild or
group meeting is a great way to meet folks in the Barony that you might not
get to know otherwise.

Thank you for your attention and I hope to see some of you Thursday.

In Service
Siobhan
