Is anyone interested in meeting for Scibal? IF SO: What day is best for you,
and does someone have a place in town we can get together? We normally meet
on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Siobhan's in Sand Springs, but haven't
since Winter started because no one was showing up. Unless Siobhan speaks up
today, I doubt we'll hold it again this month, since I only just now
realized it would be tomorrow and haven't had a chance to ask her yet.
Elodie has offered to hold Scribal at her house once they've moved, but I
don't remember where she said that is. We could use my library, perhaps.
They are nice people and they already see me twice a week for Brownies and
Boffer. It's on Lewis right off 244 and just a mile north of the B.A., so
it's fairly convenient and has plenty of parking.

The greatest thing about having Scribal at Siobhans (in my humble opinion)
is her collection of books that show different styles. I couldn't have
painted the scrolls I've done so far without them (and her knowledge). She's
a gem, and I would love to continue meeting at her house if I could get
people out there.

So, let's see how many people are actually interested in getting together,
how often, where, when, etc. and see what we have to do to get this working
again!

FOR NEWBIES-There is no calligraphy skill required!!! You take a
pre-printed, black and white "award scroll" and simply paint it. If
interested, we'll let you know what supplies are best, but if you just want
to see what we do or try it before buying supplies, just show up and I'm
sure someone will let you use their paints.
