[Northkeep] Ice Report

Mom and I are lucky to have power once more! We can't get out of the driveway though; the neighbor's tree is on it. Fortunately, Gerard and Elizabeth love me enough to come get me and take me to the store. Thank you Gerard and Elizabeth!!!! We have relatives who may be coming over tonight, if they can get out of their neighborhood and into ours. There are so many trees down on our neighborhood streets. It's like a mouse maze, just trying to get in or out. I would invite you all over here if I could, but Mom can't take the noise and commotion. I had to leave Winterkingdom early Saturday, because Mom was having chest pains. By the time I got home she was feeling much better. I think stress and worry are her biggest issues, but you can't tell her anything, so I don't try. I just stick close to home and do what I can to make her comfortable in whatever way necessary. Anyway, we are okay. It was so nice yesterday when so many people I rarely talk to text messaged
me, asking if we were okay and did we need anything. I was truly amazed at the outpour of concern and love. You guys are all so very sweet, and I love you all! Vivat Northkeep!!!!!!! If anyone needs something that I can give, please let me know. As I said, I can't get out of the driveway, but maybe you need something I can do from here. You all take care and know that I'm thinking of you!!!!!!!!!

  With respect and love,
  Lord Aodh O'Hoolighan
m.k.a. Susan 576-9448 or home at 743-9840 (not after 8pm) Thanks!

I am also grateful for camping techniques learned in the SCA. At the moment
I am living in California but we are also
dealing with abnormally cold temperatures and are trying to figure out ways
of staying warm.

Some of the ideas that have been coming across this list are being passed on
to others who are also
without electricity for different reasons.

Absolutely amazing that no one has taught a class at a Pennsic on the
perfect 72 hour kit you have in your
possession just to play in this hobby (lifestyle).

Thank you all for your incredible adaptability in the face of challenges in
extreme weather.
