With a special thanks to Centurion Ulf (one of the great autocrats) for fitting them in, I will be teaching two classes at wInterkingdom this weekend in Northkeep. Both were added too late to be advertised on the online class schedule or to be printed in the site flyer.

There will be a 9:30 (first session) class titled "Improv for Court Heralds".
Description: A lot of heralds who do court heraldry are not comfortable improvising or making up processionals or filler items or humor during court. This class will discuss several limits a herald should know before even attempting to improv or joke during court (for example, whether your nobles will even allow it). It will then offer a couple of exercises for participants to try out adding material to a court situation. This class will not teach you to be funny. But if you are caught off guard with a request to do a processional or similar activity; it should give you a beginning thought process or model to use for quick improv of such material.
Participants should be (or want to be) court heralds. No fees or limits on attendees. This is not a course for novice court heralds; you should have some experience or exposure before attending.

There will be a 3:30 (last session) class titled "Peerage Ceremonies in Ansteorra".
Description: This class will focus, for heralds or potential peers, on how to develop a peerage ceremony in Ansteorra. While there are some pieces of relevant information, this course will not cover specifics for ceremonies investing landed barons and baronesses or coronations. Material will cover what things are normally done in a "typical" Ansteorran ceremony as well as some culturally relevant alternatives. We will discuss what to look for in researching culturally specific peerage ceremonies. There will be some discussion of related activities (like vigils) but the core focus of the class is on the ceremony itself.
No fees or limits on attendees.

Respectfully,

Seigneur Etienne de Saint Amaranth
