Dearest Kevin,
While you are looking, could you please check on my name and device application. It would be under Katrina Hardesty. I did it at Winter War manuevers in late Feb. or early March in Stillwater. It was paid for at that event. All the documentation was submitted with it. I have heard that it could take up to a year. But patience is not one of my virtues. Thank you so very much.

Do you have a copy of the receipt? You will need it, or to get a copy
or other verification from the reeve.
Household devices are not registered, but you can register a household
name and BADGE either individually or jointly. There is only one device
in the SCA registered to a group that is not a branch, and it occurred
long ago for a group of special (SCA) historical significance, and is
unlikely to be repeated. All others are to branches or to individuals.
I have found one (1) copy of a household emblem on a device form. There
is a problem with it, besides the one stated above. The chief is too
small and they might pass it on 'advising' you to draw it wider, or
they might return it for a redraw, it could go either way. But it needs
to be on a badge form anyway. I will need to talk to a more
knowledgeable herald, but I think the 'Society Name' line should be
yours and/or Wynfrith's, not the name of the household. I might be
wrong there. I find some registered armory that I am afraid might
conflict, but if so it wasn't caused by the delay, they are several
years old. I will run this by the herald's list once I know you still
want this design and will execute it on a badge form.
With it is one (1) copy of a household name registration form for the
same household. The accompanying documentation is an excessive list of
dictionary definitions of the two words in the name as they are used in
modern English, but no documentation on either being used in period in
their modern forms, or showing this was a valid construction pattern
for household/guild/inn/etc names in period. I don't think there is a
problem with the name at all, but I also don't think the
'documentation' documents that fact. Neither word appears in any names
currently registered by the Society, so conflict is unlikely to be an
issue. Wynfrith's name is on this form (and the other one) as the
submittor, yours is not.
I have not located any other forms, for a badge to be held by the two
of you jointly (or one for each of you if that's what you meant) or for
a name change for yourself. I will keep looking.
I haven't seen anything that says these were ever sent to kingdom. You
are talking about either four or five separate registrations, depending
on whether you meant a badge for each of you and Wynfrith or one for
you jointly. I will talk to my predecessor about them the next chance I
get.
Kevin

Kevin -
I submitted my name change, a Household name and device, and a badge
for myself
and Wynfrith. It was paid for almost 2 years ago. Is there any way to
track
this, since I submitted all the paperwork I had, and have managed to
lose the
originals.
Thank you, and sorry for the public post...just got to looking, and
didn't find
anything.
Kale, who is apparently still Catin in the eyes of the heralds...

forgotten this.
