Greetings all,
At Castellan Kelandra and I announced our stepping down as Baron and Baroness. It has been our greatest honor to serve the Kingdom of Ansteorra and the people of Northkeep. It is time for us to move aside so that others may step up. So begins the process of selecting a new Baron and Baroness. For many of you this will be something you have never experienced for others it will seem familiar. Here is the current time-line as agreed upon by King Hrafn and Queen Elizabeta.

All those who are planning to vie for the position of Baron and Baroness should attend the JunePpopulace meeting to present themselves as Canidates to the people of the Barony of Northkeep.

All the Canidates should write a letter of introduction and intent to their Majesties of Ansteorra and present that letter in person no later than Saturday, July 11, 2009 (30th Year Celebration, Canton, TX).

All the Canidates for Baron and Baronessshould sumit a letter of introduction and intent as well as a photograph to the Northkeep Saga for publication in the June edition of the newsletter (This Month).

A shortened version of the letter of introduction along with the photographs of the Canidates should be posted on the Northkeep web site (following populace meeting)

Interviews of the Candidates will occur on July 18, 2009 (King's Round Table--Arlington, TX) at Their Majesties discretion.

An offical polling of the members of the Northkeep populace shall be conducted by the Seneschalate on July 27, 2009 at that months Populace Meeting (East Martin Regional Library)

The official announcement of the new Baron and Baroness will be at their Majesties discretion following the polling.

The outgoing Baron and Baroness will step down and the new Nobles will be seated at the event co-hosted by the Canton of Chemin Noir, called "Harvest of the Axe" on October 31st 2009.

As events unfold in the days ahead we look forward to a civil and gentle transition. If you have any questions or comments please let us know.

Kindly
Ian and Kelandra
Baron and Baroness of Northkeep
Lord and Lady of Chemin Noir
