[Northkeep] Question about Silk Fabric

I am trying to locate some information concerning silks during the 13th and
14th centuries.  I need to know if a rough or silky silk would have been
used to make a Catholic's cope.  I have looked at many books but am not
finding that exact information.  If anyone can lead me in the right
direction I would appreciate it very much.  If you would please contact me
privately off the list, I would appreciate it.
