Evan,
Not sure where you could find documentation on clothing for pre-1300, but a good
guess would be to check what was worn in the Byzantine or Serbian empires, as
both had influence over the Western Mediterranean during this time. (Never hurts
to check the old icons either.) In 1387, the Venetians caputured Thessolaniki in
Northern Greece, so check out what they wore. But they were only in power for 2
years, then came the Ottoman invastion, so think Turkish. The Ottomans had
great influence by 1500 all over the Mediterranean and into France and Spain.
I can check some of my books if you'd like.
Hope this helps,
Annais

Subject: [Northkeep] Garb pics
Hey all,
I am considering putting together a late-period Greek garb kit
for those pesky winter nights and other fancy dress affairs. This will keep
me in country persona-wise, and give me some fancy things to wear. I am
having trouble filtering through Google images and other pics for
specifically Greek clothing in late-ish period(13th century on). This would
include armors and clothing.
Does anyone have said pic-types? Or know where I can go to look
at them?
Thank you very, very much,
Evan
