Willow, some of the kids who come and game are family of folk who do not
fight. A couple of them are autistic. It isn't a culture issue, it's other
stuff. It took me forever to figure out that the cleaning of the building
was the "troll" for the use of the building. I didn't even realize that we
were supposed to be cleaning the building whether or not we had a practice
that night. The few times I saw that happen in the list, somebody jumped in
and volunteered to do a "sweep n mop" of the facility to pay so I wasn't to
concerned.

Regardless, when I go to socialize cause it's the only night I could
remember when and where stuff was going on, when it came time to put up
chairs and what not, I helped.

Somebody somewhere got their tights in a bunch and now it's a big "ta do"
and now there isn't anybody going to be at the VFW, again cause tights are
in a bunch. Sigh.

My thoughts on the whole "banishment of non fighters" thing is, folks have
families who come with their fighters, girlfriends, boyfriends..wives,
husbands, kids..we're going to isolate families into individual activities
in a time in history when family time is already at a premium? That's
stupid, who wants to fight when there's no one to cheer?

And I can't fight anymore, haven't in years so I do what I can where I can
to promote the SCA and stuff people can learn by attending "fighter
practice" or what not.

Honestly, I don't meet a lot of guys these days so advertising a "fighters
only" activity probably not going to come up in conversation so much. One
more idiot thing to keep in mind when dancing through the minefield...
