Not trying to be ostentatious by any means, but after surgery I can usually only eat 1/2 a hotdog. I WILL be bringing more than 1/2 a hotdog's worth of Scotch eggs
I also have dozens of extra eggs because I've yet to teach my hens that I don't eat 4-6 eggs per day and that they can slow down on the laying. So, I have to turn those eggs into something, right?
See y'all tonight.
Dervilia
Lol; I'm starting to enjoy the Northkeepers a lot!

And just to reiterate, not new rules but newly-expressed ones.
Half this gig is based on 'garb'. Since we are now reminded to try to ALWAYS wear garb to FP, one assumes this means fancy it up a bit more than usual tonight, put on a better show.
The other half is 'grub', which keys off the frontier (southern and midwestern at least) tradition of the 'pot-luck supper', a communal meal shared by the whole community. The 'pot-luck' part is you don't know exactly what everyone else is bringing. The 'supper' part is that there is expected to be a meal's worth of food for every participant. You don't have to bring as varied a selection as you would for a meal you prepare yourself. But the total amount you bring should compare well with the total amount you and everyone you bring with you will eat. Anything else is 'unneighborly', and will make people whisper about you behind their fans come next Sunday-go-to-meetin'. Or the equivalent in this culture. Don't be mean (stingy), and don't be austentatious (puttin' on airs).
Balance, as in all other things. And my apologies for those of you that already understand this intuitively.
Kevin
