Hello Damon,
I don't know if powder coating changes this or not but wouldn't the metal react with the dyes?

Greetings,
Ismet and I bought a small period style cooking/boiling pot at Estrella
a number of years back. It's an assembly of several small plates rivited
together (Think Schpangenhelm). Unfortunately while it should hold water
it doesn't. Suggestions for correcting that problem? Each of the
individual plates appear to be powder coated (yeah, I know non-period.
I said period style not completely period.).
She want's to use it for dying, etc. not food stuffs.
Really, please think about it and/or confer with your friends and send
us your ideas. Otherwise this thing is just occupying space.
Thanks,
Damon
