PE - "canopy" beds....

I am in search of documentation (if there is any!) on canopy style beds for 
14th-16th century....especially any made out of iron....I have lots of 
examples from 1700s but haven't found any in my book collection (haven't made 
it to the library yet) from medieval period....i'd like to make my pennsic 
rope bed into a canopy bed so i can curtain it off on cold nights!
