RF - Awards?

I was told by Baroness Alix that the Guilded Scallop was a personal
baronal award to be given at the Baroness' discretion with the approval
and authority of the Crown.  Changing the name from Scallop to Serpent
didn't change that.  It was created as a first step service award.

The Raven's Heart is a service award of sorts, but not really.  It goes
much deeper than that.  It has to do with a true love of the barony
itself.  When it was established it was specifically stated that very
few would be awarded to keep it an extreme honor.  It need not be handed
out on even a yearly basis.  The Raven's Heart is more perishes than an
AOA or even a Thistle.  Just hard work will not earn it.  A proven
unfailing love to our barony is not the only thing needed to win this
award, but it is required.  

The Order of the Talon is for fighters that show marked improvement.  It
says, "Hay everybody, look at this guy / gal.  She / he is from Raven's
Fort and if he / she doesn't kick your butt on the field today, she / he
will next time you see 'em".
