ANST-Announce - After Coronation Get-Together ylwrose2 at
Fri Jan 5 18:04:48 PST 2001

EVERYONE is welcome at both of these practices (I'm sure). Non-fighters,
artisans, nobles and gentles alike. Practices are not boring, they can
be very entertaining. I know I have a story (that I won't tell (yet)) of
the first hogshead game. More importantly, non-fighters who attend can
participate in a vital role as water-bearers and "cheerleaders" for the
hogshead teams. Authorized marshals will also be needed for both these
practices. SO PLEASE, attend the practices and help keep the fighters
who garner the glory our kingdom enjoys healthy and safe.

In Service,
Lady Francesca Laviana Sansovino

P.S. The Hill is on Doran Circle in the Dallas Mapsco

> Thank you, Raimond, for graciously changing your plans for Jan 14. The
site for the war practice is Flagpole Hill in Dallas. For those who've
never been there, the park is just north of White Rock Lake park, at the
intersection of Northwest Highway and Buckner. We practice right by the
giant Flagpole from which the park gets its name.
> We'd like to start the practice at 1:00. That should give everyone
time to recover from Coronation, and get over to the park.
> Of note: one of our practice tools is a game called hogshead. If
you've never played it, get ready for some serious exhaustion!

> >Earlier this week I sent a message out saying that Elfsea will be
hosting aWar Practice after Coronation. The plans have changed. Our
Sister Barony of Steppes is graciously concelling thier normal practice
after 12th Night this weekend to support Elfsea's Mini-Tourney. I think
this is wonderful and very kind. In turn, rather then Hogging All if the
time. Elfsea will join Steppes for a War Practice at Flagpole Hill in
Dallas. Lord Dux, who will be stepping in to the role of Steppes Knight
Marshal, will have more info and schedule for this event. Unfortunately,
I have no contact information for him. Please make the neccessary
calendar changes and have fun.
