[Ravensfort] a little story to break the silence in the baronial archives

[KING Of The Firemonkeys]

once upon a time a silence fell across the land
all that was heard were the faint whisperings
of all the people shuttered up in their houses
scurrying in the dark like little mice
and all the little houses with windows lit so late
that cock crow oft caught them still not darkened
and naught could be found out of what transpired there
no trumpet heralding a hand that's raised in aquiesance
or colored smoke on dawns wind to signal choice of name
and in the sky the raucous crows caw and caw all night
awaiting others words of wisdom learned or personal
to guide them in their dance in the currents of the air
it's best to know how the winds blow how hard and to where



safe journeys, and remember;
