Go back and read the first post, I think it explains what happened.  Your
argument hinges on a single statement in my second reply.  In context of the
entire paragraph, I think its clear, when I sat down to write the award
recommendation, there was a deadline approaching and no one was consulted at
that moment. Didn't say "no one was consulted ever," in fact I think it is
abundantly clear that there were lots of people who didn't think you deserved
the award based on your behavior of over a year before.

Rewrite history?  At least we're doing it in a coherent manner, which sticks
relatively close to the point, is defensible if read in context to previous
posts, without the Jackson Pollock approach to English grammar.
