A very good story, Mistress Lorraine. Forgive me, is there some special
title attached to being named Vicaress? My heraldeeze is faulty I'm afraid.

Anyway, I enjoyed your post very much. Since it is more suitable for your
local history, given as it were from your perspective of being your first
event as Vicaress, I would hope that HE Brian du Val, Ravensfort Historian,
might request a copy of your post for the Baronial files. If the thought
does not occur to him, or if he misses this post, I would hope that you
might provide a copy for him. It gives a tiny slice of perspective rarely
seen and well written also.

Congratulations on your elevation. I am tardy to make my delight known that
you and Sir Kief are to head up the ship known as Ravensfort until such a
time as the Crown finds suitable aspirants for the Baronial Coronets among
your worthy and noble populous.  I look forward to those times when I might
sit and talk with you and your people once more. Until then, I remain...
