[Ravensfort] Answers to Questions

Well, here it is folks, the letter that I sent to those who had asked me
directly if I could/would help them out with information.


Unto the Champions of Ravensfort Defender, held September 2006:

Kind Friends:

I have diligently applied myself to obtaining answers to the questions that
some of you posed recently to me regarding the scrolls that commemorate your
achievements and the items that physically represent you as a Champion of
the Barony of Ravensfort (more commonly know as 'pass-alongs').

Here is what I have for you:

Following recent postings to the Ravensfort list, I can tell you this:

1. Unfortunately, some of the 'pass-alongs'have gone their way over the
years and have yet to be replaced.  Their replacement is the decision of our
Baron and Baroness as these items are visual representations of Their
champions to the rest of the Kingdom at large.

2. As to the scrolls, I met with the following:

	a. Kind, but vague ideas from 'interested parties' as to why things
possibly did not get done and

	b. Silence.  By that I mean that those who had made it their
responsibility to get these things done have said absolutely
nothing about it at all.

In light of that situation regarding the scrolls, I will take it upon myself
as a member of the Barony of Ravensfort to apologize to each of you for our
Barony's lack of 'follow-through' on this.  I only wish that I could do more
to rectify this situation.  I know that for some of you it was your first
championship.  How wonderful it would have been to have the written
commeration of that event to show to folk as you are telling them the story
of it.  Even if it is your ump-teenth time, the feeling is still the same: a
fine memory to share with and SHOW to others.  I am sorry that you have been
deprived of such.
