Everything seems to be a go for the work day this weekend... with the exception of the tractor. That will be brought down when we have several weekends in a row that we can work on clearing. I will be bring my RV with generator so if you have a "sawsall" or an electric chain saw or other device please bring it. I will also be bring cold watermelon for a mid day break.
If we really want to do a pot luck dinner after working we need to flush out the "I'm gonna bring" list. Today is Friday. It would be nice to have the list together by tonight. If it does not seem that many people will show up we can cut down on the amount we bring. Cozy is good too. Hell, it's all good.
Saint David Saint David has asked me to let those that do plan on attending our Solstice Pot Luck Dinner know that the water pump at his home is damaged and so it runs very slow. We will attempt a repair Saturday, but don't plan on inside bathrooms right now. Last time we used DSD's Sanctuary for Blue Moon Revel we rented a Port-a-Can. We don't have the time to do that for this spur of the moment gathering. We will have to pretend that we at The Stones and make due with a dark secluded spot. Guys will have to take it outside and gals are encouraged to take it outside, but those that absolutely can't will be allow to worship in the Temple of Relief a time or two.
Also, please plan on taking your dirty dishes home to wash.
Regardless of the hardships, I'm sure it will be fun to work and play at our beloved site. The better it looks, the better we will look. It will be good to spend some quality time with my SCA family. See you tomorrow.
In peaceful service to the Barony,
Vlod NotVlad

If I may, I will try to translate what The Lord of the Manor was saying in his native language. ( what ever that may be ) I believe that he said :
People coming over to my log cabin for feasting and fellowship after a work day at The Stones !!????
Those guys were here before for the Blue Moon Revel and they seemed pretty nice.
Yes, please come and celebrate the Summer Solstice this Saturday evening at my place.

Sorry we don't have another village to burn down.
Or at least I think he said something like that.
C ya there.

The Lord of the Manor would have me announce:
HeeeelP! HeeeelP! Hep!! Hep me hep me hep me! Its a invasesheon! Its a FULL SCALE invaseshion! Man the swatters! Sharpen your toes! Clad your junk mail suits! Whet forth your teeth and daub not your pasty reflections! We are in peril! PERIL, I say! The banana moon hath subverted the sun! Cretins and vermin cannot compare with the depths of evil which is upon us! Cry for the stiffness of the earlobe! The turtles are fallen and the rain stands still! The marmots have stuck to the Deleware! I would beg to see your arms raised in calcification towards the expanding horizon as these minutemen stand before me with their phallic gums aimed and loaded
Oh, wait, hold on
its, well maybe its not so bad
Oops, yes! Bleed me! My memory is fried with your pork!
.late breaking intelligence here

The ESSE-A is having another work day.
Never mind... all is well.

Dustmites the world over will love you for your feet

dsd
p.s. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs

I think the Lord of the Manor should open up his new home to the summer solstice work party!Hmm I wonder if he is around or out running the pathways to some far away place?
I want to volunteer to kill poison ivy. I get a certain satisfaction out of it because I HATE it! It loves me however and loves to put little itchy bumps all over me! I have declared war on it on our ridge and after 2 years of spraying it is barely hanging on in a few spots. I will bring food also when we decide what we need. G
