I think that the judges should have some knowledge of brewing and what a good brew is supposed to be. I have no experience in judging a brew competition...so I  will not even ask.

Dear Mr. Malcolm, High Exalted Brew Liaison,
 
I too would like to volunteer my expertise in the fine art of Brew judging.  Though I have some small experience brewing myself, I have tasted a thousand beers over three decades.  I have judged this very competition in the past.  If you have enough Judges already, I'll understand.  I'm just tryin' to get in on sampling all the great brews that I know will be entered.  ...Please, Mr. Malcolm, generous type person, sir, please.

As previously stated at the Business Meeting, our Baroness, Clair(e?) and I volunteered our worthy selves as Judges for the Brew For All Competition.  Sorry everyone, we got our dibs in first!  Snicker, Chortle, Giggle...

Hello everyone, last night many things were discussed at our monthly business meeting. We have set the following workdays up for those of you who need to know way in advance-
June 20-21
June 27-28
Aug. 22-23
Aug. 20-30
Sept. 12-13
 then of course our event will be Sept. 18-20
    All of our returning champions have a liaison working with them to help the event run smoothly.
  Banners are being designed by our banner group which consists of Chrystal, Devin and Runa. We will hear of sewing meetings to help them with this.
  There will be a brewing competition, details to follow from Malcolm.
  There will be a gate class at August Populace given by Charles.
  Now is the time to turn in Award Recommendations as well.
  I will be gone from June 22-July 15. I will be checking emails occasionally and several members have my cell no. if need be. Elke will be my deputy Seneschal while I am gone, holding Populace and maybe July business too. 
  Many people are needed to come out and help get our site in good order. We hope to  have a large event in Sept.  YIS, Giovanna
