Snakes actually work for a living & serve a purpose - they just get bad press is all...  More than I can say for a lot of the human population around the world, so hah!!!  All of you 'snake haters' can take care of the rodent population then.  Gotta have balance... or you can be like Gundy & run a rodent-hotel... LOL!  ;o)
 
Have you seen a snake in a harness?  I have seen a rattlesnake pull a small wagon for it's owners, talk about wild things to see!  Imagine putting little ID tags on all the snakes on the site, that would be a trip!  
"I got a wiggler, it's a wiggler... oops! There it goes!"  
 
At least you can outrun them here in the US & be glad we do not have Black or Green Mambas here!  That's a whole new ballgame there... be greatfull of the little things!

I have to agree with Runa and Malcolm on this subject.  The only good 
snake is a dead one.  I prefer one of three methods to take care of them; 
a sharp garden hoe, a sharp shovel (long handled of course) and a 12 ga. with bird shot.

Some snakes eat poisonous snakes, rats, etc...  Please do not kill king snakes and the like.  Some snakes are our friends.

I will remind everyone that the weather is starting to turn warm so keep an
eye out for snakes..  Please kill the poisonous ones.  All non-poisonous snakes are our friends as they keep down the vermin population.
 
Err, could someone provide the non poisonous ones with snake tags or something 'cause otherwise I'm gonna kill it.  Snakes are in the same catagory as ... as .... kill first check for triangle head after it has been chopped off.
 
Runa (who dislikes snakes a lot, I'm talking major a lot)
