Time is running out quickly.

Her Majesty, Queen Nicollet, would request that those wishing to enter her
Queen's Champion Tournament please send letters of intent no later than
September 30,  2013. Letters may be sent via email, personal delivery, or
sent by post.

The Queen's Champion Tournament will be fought as a single elimination
tournament, best two out of three.

Running concurrently with the Queen's Champion Tournament will be the
Queen's Hope Tournament!

Please be sure to watch and support the future of the Ansteorrean Rapier
community!

As the afternoon progresses, those that have been eliminated from the
Queen's Champion Tournament will be invited to enter the Tournament of the
Queen's Favor. The format will be an unlimited bear pit, with the winner to
be determined by a point system, based on number of wins.

What should be in a letter of intent you ask?

Requirements for letters of intent vary, and sometimes a queen may specify
something she wants in them. If she does not specify, the letter can be as
simple as your name and a statement that you wish to enter the Queen's
Champion Tournament, or as elaborate as a long fancy letter telling
everything either of you ever did in the Society, and praising the queen
for deeds and virtues real and imagined. Aim for the compromise. You might
tell a little about yourself, how long you've been in the Society, what
you've done, what makes you qualified. Give a little detail on where you
live, the expiration of your membership, the status of your device, your
ability and availability to travel to events in the kingdom, and anything
that might seem interesting or pertinent. Just FYI for those newer people
that have never done a letter of intent.
