I never save an on-board seat for myself.  I don't really sit down much while 
cooking.  I could, actually, since I like to have things set up well enough 
that there is never an all-hands panic, but my Virgo nature won't let me.  
When I cook, I try to make sure my crew gets fed in shifts, and I eat a bit 
here and there unless someone shoves food at me, and then I'll have a bowl of 
something.  Mainly, I drink water as much as possible.  I also find that a 
glass of wine at the start of the day makes for a lack of stressed muscles 
later.  I just always figure that my responsibility is to the crowd to provide 
the best period feast for the buck, and to my crew to make sure they aren't 
run ragged due to a lack of preparation and organization on my part.
